Della Finis Armstrong, 78

Della died peacefully at home with her family at her side on May 14th, 2006 in Rainy River, Ontario. She is survived by her children Donald of Rainy River (Sue), Reed (Angie) of Rainy River, Bonnie Crowe (Howard) of Shebandowan, Ontario, Wallace (Susan) of Rainy River, Glen (Lisa) of Rainy River, and Cheryl Kreger (Gary) of Rainy River. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Stanley Chamberlain of Loma, Montana, her sister Mae Chilgren of Eugene, Oregon, and grandchildren: Jeffrey Crowe, Nicole Blakeney, Tricia Beauguard, Aaron Armstrong, Amanda Lalond, Lanny Armstrong, Christopher Ernst, Natasha Armstrong, Brooke Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, Melissa Armstrong, Tristan Armstrong, Sam Ernst, Ron Ernst, Chad Armstrong.

Ellen May Stutvoet, 86

Ellen died peacefully on Thursday, May 11th, 2006 at the La Verendrye Hospital Continuous Care Unit in Fort Frances, Ont. She is survived by her husband Henry and lovingly remembered by her sister Georgina Whitlaw and her husband John (Winnipeg, Man) as well as several nieces and nephews in Nolalu, Sudbury and Sarnia, Ont, Fort Gratiote, Mich and New Castle, NB. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas James Code and Evelyn May (Steen) Code and her younger sisters Muriel Kiddle (Sudbury), Gwendolyn Mott (Sarnia) and Iris Allan (Atikokan).

William (Buster) Archibald Brown, Jr. 86

William Buster Brown, aged 86 years of Rainycrest Home for the aged, 550 Osborne Street, Fort Frances, Ontario, formerly of Stratton, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances on Tuesday, May 9, 2006.

William Lalois, 84

LaLois, William Louis, age 84, resident of Ottawa, Ontario passed away April 23, 2006 at home, happy and laughing with his wife Marge and children. Bill was born on May 23, 1921 in Rainy River, Ontario. In Bill's young school years, he enjoyed going to his grandparents farm. He cut and delivered wood until he enlisted in the Canadian Army. Bill was proud to serve his country and was a veteran of war.

Ann Marie Asselin, 77

Ann Marie Asselin 77 of Pinewood, Ontario passed away at her residence on Sunday, May 7, 2006.
Ann was born on March 5, 1929 in LaBroquerie, Manitoba to the late Frank and Josephine Langlais. Ann moved to the Rainy River District and later was the owner/operator of Ann’s Restaurant in Rainy River.

Doris Lucille Thorburn, 80

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Doris Lucille Thornburn on April 27, 2006 upon returning from a wonderful winter in B.C.

FLORENCE VIOLET ARNOULD

AGE 93
After a lengthy illness, Florence Arnould passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg.
She was predeceased by her husband Oliver of 47 years in 1980, her youngest daughter, Evelyn Shatford in 2004, her son-in-law Jack Medland in 1989 and son-in-law Duane La Haie in 1999.

John Comegan, 69

It is with deep sadness that the family announce the passing of our beloved John (Cash) Comegan, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend at the age of 69, on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Big Grassy First Nation.

Helen Atkin, 84

June 18, 1921 to February 27, 2006
On February 27th we said a last goodbye to our dear Mom, Gran and Great Gran. What a lively and courageous lady she was. Those who knew her best will remember her generosity, her determined spirit and her great sense of humour.
