Fire call to Heritage House

Rainy River and Dawson Fire Departments were called to Heritage House last Monday afternoon after reports of smoke were called in. The building has had its fair share of false alarms in the past, but with actual smoke this time, no chances were being taken and extra help from Dawson was called in. However, once Rainy River's dept. was on the scene Dawson was turned back. Someone had left a pot on the stove in and appartment on the second floor (seen above with door open). The fire was limited to smoke from the pot. No one was injured.
