Rainy River Record

Deb Armstrong's rink defeated Melvin Major's rink to win the third eventin the last bonspiel of the year in RR. Fr. l. to r., Deb Armstrong-Skip, Angie Armstrong-Third, Linda Hol mes-Second and Kari Brigham-Lead.

The Rainy River Figure Skating Club's season culminated on the weekend when they held their annual ice show at the Rainy River arena Saturday and Sunday. This was a record year for the club in terms of numbers of members and all of them did not disappoint those who came to watch them! Above Emily Kriske, a Can Figure Level 1 skater, exhibits grace and poise in the number "Mickey." This year's show was called "All-Stars on Ice."

The RRHS mixed curling team went undefeated this season in all curling events! There is no NWOSSAA for mixed. The teams they beat this past week at NORWOSAAs were Beaver Brae (Kenora), Queen Elizabeth (Sioux Lookout), Fort Frances and Red Lake.
