The Rainy River Community Choir held two Christmas concerts over the weekend in Rainy River and Bergland. Rainy River Town Councillor Gord Armstrong, left, attended the Rainy River Hospital Auxiliary's annual Christmas Bazaar at the Rainy River Recreation Centre Sunday. However, he wasn't sure he was going to get pie as his wife, Jeanette, right, jokingly pulled the tray away. Fortunately for him, Susan Douglas, center, stepped in and made sure he was able to sample some of the delicious homemade pie!

Several Canadian Geese have not migrated south. It is believed that because there were two of them tangled up with fishing line that they have remained behind. They were staying near an open patch of water in the ice on the Rainy River right on the US-Canadian border but on Monday the spot had frozen over.

A good crowd was on hand for the annual Riverview School Christmas Tea Friday including Tyler Pater, 3. He along with the rest of the crowd hunkered in for some delicious cheesecake and a beverage.

Riverview School's boys volleyball team ended up bringing home the gold medals from the Regional Championships over the weekend in Fort Frances.
