The Rainy River Public Library is unwrapping a big box of programs for the holiday season!

Since November 19, when I asked the Minister of Transportation to address the issue of road maintenance and safety in NWO, my offices have received hundreds of letters from constituents expressing their concerns. Your message is very clear, and I ask that you continue to send letters so that I can share them with the Minister.

One of the most common and well-liked birds of our northern climates is the Black-capped Chickadee. They seem to be eternal optimists. Well, they aren't.

On Nov. 19, I introduced Bill 132, an amendment to the Energy Consumer Protection Act, which would ban private fixed-rate electricity contracts for residential customers. This bill, which has now passed second reading, was the culmination of years of work, both as a constituency assistant and as your MPP.
We all know that regular hydro rates are out of control in Ontario, but imagine that you are one of the vulnerable consumers who are paying, on average, 35 to 65 per cent more than the going rates, with essentially no way to cancel!
