Some 57 skaters from the Rainy River Figure Skating Club pulled out all the stops over the weekend to entertain the community with their annual ice shows. The theme this year was Disco Fever and above from left to right is Bethany Sinninghe, Abbey Tolen and Becky Cunningham performing to "Saturday Night." More photos on page seven.

RRHS Boys Team, Matt Johnson-skip, Mitch Haw-third, Cody Jarvis-second and Cody Ossachuk-lead are competing this week at NWOSSA Curling Playdowns in Red Lake after winning NORWOSSA Silver last week! They could win a trip to the All Ontarios! Stay tuned!

Members of the CanFigure group of the Rainy River Figure Skating Club dazzled the audience at both Saturday and Sunday's Ice Shows. Almer Godin of Rainy River, left, and his daughter Linda Bell (nee Godin) now of Florida, braved the windchill and fished outside. While Linda admitted she missed ice fishing, she was ready to go back to the Florida heat this week.
