Monday morning Rainy River residents awoke to see one of the most beautiful sites of winter. There was hoare frost everywhere! The trees were all covered with beautiful white frost, making for picturesque scenes like the one above of Rainy River's old railway station.

Seven people participated in the First Annual Shiver on the River 5K run on Family Day this past Monday. Ted Brockie (Fort Frances), Sariina Kalli (Baudette), Elizabeth Fraser (RR), Bryson Hasbargen (Baud.), Dyson Dahl (Baud.), Saragh Fraser (RR) and Emily Fraser (RR). Hasbargen won overall male with time of 18:06 and Saragh Fraser won overall femaie with time of 18:51. Other times were: Dahl 18:10 (2nd 13-19), Emily Fraser 20:13, Elizabeth Fraser 21:27, Sariina Kalli 23:40 and Ted Brockie 31:65.
