Sports for all kids!

About 60 kids attended the official kickoff of the first KidSport chapter in Northwestern Ontarion in Rainy River Saturday. After receiving a cheque from KidSport for $3,000 all these kids and adults participated in various workshops featuring local sporting opportunities for kids in the Rainy River area.

Santa came to town!

Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus came to Rainy River on Friday evening to participate in the annual Santa Claus parade. There were about 15 floats this year, more than in previous years, and all were well received by the crowds lining Main St. Santa and Mrs. Claus then visited the RR Community Centre to visit with kids.
