Rainy River High School's class of 2011 began another leg of their life journeys last Wedenesday when they participated in their graduation ceremony. Last Friday Riverview held its Grade 8 graduation ceremony. Several students were honoured including Megan Vogan who received the Ontario Principal's Award for Leadership from Principal Lucinda Meyers. More grad photos inside.

Fort Frances Walmart picks a school each year to sponsor. This year it was Riverview School in Rainy River. They supplied sporting goods, back packs, snacks, craft supplies, etc. throughout the year. Last Tuesday the school thanked them at their annual family picnic. Fr. l. to r., Taylor Armstrong, Cindy Kellar of Walmart, Abigail Pearson, Emma Olson, Kennedy Mosher, Becky Cunningham and McKenzie Lattendrese.

Bethany Lauzon gave the Valedictory address at Riverview's grade 8 graduation last Friday evening.

At the recent RRHS Awards banquet the school named its Athletes of the Year and Leader of the Year. Mitch Haw, left, is seen here receiving his Ontario Principal's Leadership Award from Principal Jim Chorney.
