Robert Tolen, 37, of Rainy River is all set to fight in Las Vegas on April 3, 2010. He will be fighting an American from Duluth, MN. The loser gets a tattoo of the winner's home country's flag on their behind. Tolen said he is not worried about a tattoo as he does not plan to lose!

Danny Armstrong-skip, Larry Armstrong-third, Brent Anderson-second and Dewey Beckel-lead defeated Trevor Bonot's rink to win the 53rd Rainy River Men's Bonspiel Saturday night.

The Rainy River High School Mixed Curling Team won gold at home last week when Rainy River and Stratton Curling Clubs played host to NORWOSSA championship curling. Unfortunately for the mixed curlers the do not advance beyond NORWOSSA. They are , l. to r., Tyler Nielson-skip, Shauna Moen-third, Matt Armstrong-second and Chelsea Miller-lead.
