On Friday, January 1, 2010, at about 4:30 p.m. Rainy River and Stratton Volunteer Fire Depts. were called out to a single car accident just west of Stratton. Mrs. Helen Nelson of International Falls Minnesota was driving a 1997 Ford Taurus going east bound on Hwy 11 when she entered the North ditch and rolled her car. She had her seat belt on and the driver air bag did deploy. She was taken by ambulance to Rainy River Hospital. There was no word on her condition this week.
