Kreger Sales and Service had this 1946 GMC pick up truck on display at the trade show. He and his staff spent 350 hours recently restoring it from the frame up for Bob Horvorka of Rainy River.

Donated chips

Randy Shortreed, right, a Forester with Hydro One, supervises as his crew dumps a second load of mulch made from trees they trimmed in Rainy River last Wednesday. Behind him the new Rainy River Community Garden can be seen. The mulch was donated to the garden.

Musical talent

Four students from Riverview School in Rainy River did well at the Rainy River District Festival for the Performing Arts this year. Fr. l. to r., Lemuel Carradice had three firsts for Piano, Moriah Carradice had four firsts and one second place for Piano, Naomi Carradice had two firsts and two second places for Piano and Kenzie Godin had two second places for Voice.

If last year's record number of booths and public particpation are any indication the Rainy River River Arena will have plenty to explore as the 5th Annual RR and District Chamber of Commerce Trade gets underway Saturday morning. Above, is a shot from one of the many booths at last year's show.
