Its time to celebrate Canada Day

Canadians will celebrate Canada Day this weekend. Across the country, Canadians will move to the outdoors in droves to enjoy this first summer long weekend. Traditional Canada parades, barbecues, picnics and fireworks will mark the day for most Canadians.
Canada became an independent nation in 1867 under Queen Victoria and for a long time was known as the Dominion of Canada having only four provinces, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Today we have ten provinces and three territories.

Decoration Day - Every so often some event or occurrence takes place, that reminds you of the true purpose of the Legion. That even for me was Decoration Day.

Downloading costs us all money

Municipalities across Ontario complained that Mike Harris downloaded many provincial spending costs to the municipalities across the province. But in doing that, the Conservative government transferred additional funding to offset some of those costs.
In a more subtle method, Dalton McGinty to reduce his deficit has handed over to this district many additional costs.
