Seniors at the Rainy River Activity Depot received a visit from students from Riverview Elementary School last Wednesday afternoon. They performed several songs, much to the delight of everyone present.

Rainy River High School's senior girls basketball team won game 1 of NWOSSAs this morning 32-26. Sklar Arpin is seen shooting a basket in the fourth quarter here.

RRHS students recently held a food drive challenge at the school. It was an overwhelming success with all the food collected being donated to the Rainy River Food Bank. Back row, Food Bank Volunteers Myrna Armstrong, Angie Armstrong and Rachel Marquis. Fr. row, students Morgan Haw and Danika Diebel presented the Food Bank with the bounty from the drive!

Canada Post put their stamp on the breakfast program at Riverview School with a $3,500 grant from its Community Foundation. The money is raised through the sale of a special fund-raising stamp and donations each October. Heidi (nee Hanson) Reeb and her husband Nick were proud to watch their son Jaiden Reeb carrying the Winnipeg Jet’s flag at the game against the Montreal Canadians on October 15th. He won a contest to be the Scotia Bank Skater of the Game when his dad entered him online. He won four tickets to the game and he received a jersey and of course the chance to skate with the Jets and stand on the blue line for the anthem! His grandparents are: Cam and Sheila Hanson of Rainy River and Brenda and Larry Phillips of Baudette. His Great Grandma is Rose Hanson of Rainy River.
