Slugging it out with slugs and snails

Slugs and snails like damp and cool weather. You will often find the most damage from slugs and snails on your plants in the north, or northeast and northwest gardens. Gardens with more shade and lower light conditions tend to harbour more slugs due to their moister conditions. With the above average rainy weather, the damage from slugs and snails can be more wide spread as the conditions are more favourable for these pests and they will take advantage of the situation.

CN and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) today signed a tentative labour contract covering 644 union members who maintain and repair CN‚s signals and communications systems across Canada. As a result of the tentative agreement, there will be no labour disruption at midnight, Friday March 25.
