Very Generous Donation

The Rainy River Locum House committee were very pleased to receive a cheque from the Rainy River Legion Branch #54 for $10,000. Larry Armstrong (centre) thanked the Legion for all the work that they do to help out the community. of Rainy River. Legionnaires honoured

Friday evening the Rainy River Legion honoured two long time members and two Korean War vets. Shown here are (left to right bacl)Gerry Marchuk (past president), Les Ivall (received his 61 year pin), Walter Wagner (president), Joe Kaliska (received his 60 year pin), Ron Mondor (Sergeant at Arms) and (front) Terry Cooper & Harry Arnould both receiving a pin recognizing their invovement in the Korean War.

Furry Friend!

Caramel the guinea pig visits with Aidan Pater and Kayla Pater at the Rainy River Library July 6th as part of the TD Summer Reading Club program. Caramel is on tour from his home at the Fort Frances Library's children's section. His tour continues to Emo Library next week.

There were many family oriented activities in Hannam Park this past Monday to mark Canada Day. Taya Stamler, left, paints a matching Canadian Flag on Nikki Blakeney as Tavian Ernst, 3, looks on.

Showing their pride!

Many people, young and old participated in the Canada Day Bike parade. Norma-Jean Johnston rides the bike she and Great Niece Jessica Johnston, looking on, decorated. The Fireworks were postponed to Railroad Daze due to issues with the fire department's launchers.
