Top fund-raisers!

Team Linda raised the most money for this year's Relay for Life! They topped out at $13,287.88. Right behind them was Team Cure-ious with $13,088.36!

Thanks Larry!

Larry Armstrong, left, was thanked at the Riverside AGM in Rainy River on Thursday for his nine years of service. He is seen here receiving a gift from Riverside Chair Michelle Marinaro. Armstrong did not run again for office last week.

Lucky duck!

Ronan Ivall holds the winning duck from the KidSport duck race during Canada Day. He picked it out for him and his dad Earl Ivall and it was the first one to cross the finish line on the Rainy River.
His mom, Stephanie Ivall, left, and Ronan, received official congratulations from Rainy River KidSport Chair Rebecca Tolen.

Kennedy Mosher, right, and about 50 other youngsters and a few adults, participated in the annual Canada Day bike parade Monday in Rainy River.

And the celebration begins!

Maria Vandenbrand and Jessica Haw share a celebratory high five as they exit the formal graduation ceremony at RRHS last Wednesday. Many awards, scholarships and bursaries were handed out during the evening and then the students enjoyed the Chem Free Grad activities well into the night. Penny pot full!

Gerry Marchuk and Verna Barsy emptied their piggy bank in order to top up the penny pot at the RR Clinic. The jar will be sealed and will be used for a "Guess the Pennies" contest to raise further funds for the Locum house project. Nicole Therien is helping Gerry funnel the pennies into the jar.

There was alot of jubilation shown once the ribbon was officially cut for River Trails last Wednesday.
