Boat bridge!

With the Rainy River open past Pinewood last Thursday you could just about walk across the water by boat as anglers hit the water to catch big walleye now in the river preparing to spawn. The anglers only have five more days on the Canadian side of the river to fish as season closes until the third Saturday in May.

Didn't get the memo!

Four Canadian Geese arrived in Rainy River last Thursday. However, they did not get the memo that Spring is going to be late this year! The river is still frozen here. Perhaps they should have diverted to Stratton where the ice is out! They only hung around for a day or so and were not present on the weekend.
