Home lost to fire

On Saturday May 19, 2012 about 12:20 a.m. The Rainy River and Pinewood fire depts. were called to a fire at the former Howard McKenzie residence at 214 Worthington Road 3.

Turning over the keys

Sarah Berg, left, turned over the keys to the new owners of Rainy River Drugs last Wednesday afternoon. Sunset Country Medical Pharmacy officially took over Thursday, May 10, 2012. Accepting the keys for the company are its owners Rick Brown, Vince Gauthier and Stan Francic.

Special honour

Cecil Wilson, right, of Barwick and former long term Reeve of Chapple Township was presented with a Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal this past Saturday. Margaret Rea, Consituency Assistant to MP John Rafferty, centre, made the presentation. Also pictured is his wife Shirley.

72+ years honoured!
