It was track and field week across the west Rainy River District with all the elementary schools Devlin and west gathering at Riverview Elementary School in Rainy River last Tuesday (Intermediate) and Thursday (Junior) to compete.

Rainy River Town Council met Monday evening to do the town’s business.
Topping the agenda was the changing of the due date for water and sewer bills. At present the bill is due two weeks after it is mailed out.

There is no doubt that the gardening season is well under way in our region. The television and the retail store circulars are filled with many new garden items that are on sale or being featured for this season.

The United Beef Club started up again on, Wednesday, May 10th at 7:00pm, at the home of the McQuaker’s. The meeting was started with the 4-H pledge, then we went around the room and introduced ourselves and our animals.
